Who we are
Latch Labs is the trading name used by Latch Labs for the team developing Latch. For this pre-launch website, Latch Labs is responsible for the personal information described below. You can contact us about legal or privacy matters at legal@latchlabs.app.
Latch is still in development and is not yet available. These notices cover the website and waitlist only; dedicated app and subscription terms will be published before launch.
What this notice covers
This notice applies when you browse this website, join the Latch waitlist, contact us, or take part in pre-launch research. It does not yet cover use of the future Latch app.
Information we collect
- Waitlist details: your name and email address, plus any optional role and learning goal you provide.
- Consent records: when and how you agreed to receive product and launch updates.
- Correspondence: information you include when contacting us or responding to research.
- Technical records: hosting and security logs may include IP address, browser type, device information, request times, and requested pages.
Please do not submit health information, passwords, financial information, or other sensitive personal information through the waitlist form.
Why we use information
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Email updates
We send waitlist and product-update emails only where you have actively agreed to receive them. Every marketing email should provide an unsubscribe route. You can also withdraw consent by emailing legal@latchlabs.app.
Who receives information
We may use carefully selected providers for website hosting, waitlist storage, email delivery, security, and technical support. Those providers may process information only for the service they provide to us. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or a buyer of the project where lawfully required.
Before the public waitlist stores submissions, this notice must identify any material provider configuration affecting how information is handled.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires it, we will use an adequacy regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or another lawful safeguard. You may contact us for information about the safeguard used.
How long we keep information
We intend to retain waitlist data until the earliest of: you withdraw consent; 24 months after your last meaningful interaction with us; or 12 months after a decision not to launch Latch. Security logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security and troubleshooting, subject to the hosting provider’s configured retention. Data may be kept longer where required for a legal claim or legal obligation.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing; receive portable data; and withdraw consent. You also have the right not to be subject to a solely automated decision with significant effects. We do not use waitlist data for such decisions.
To exercise a right, email legal@latchlabs.app. We may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children
The waitlist is intended for people aged 16 or over. We do not knowingly collect waitlist information from children under 16. A separate age-appropriate notice will be prepared if the launched product is offered directly to younger users.
Security
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information. No internet service is completely secure, so please avoid submitting information the form does not request.
Cookies and similar technology
See our Cookie notice. The current site does not intentionally use analytics, advertising cookies, or non-essential browser storage.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice as the waitlist infrastructure and product develop. Material changes will be highlighted on this page and, where appropriate, communicated to waitlist members.
